Grand Cayman, September 7, 2026 – The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) has announced four 2026 scholarship recipients from its Educational Scholarship Fund (ESF), continuing its longstanding commitment to supporting Caymanian students in pursuing higher education.

The 2026 scholarship recipients are:

  • Amiya Tahal – Mechanical Engineering | University of Wisconsin–Madison
  • • De-Andre Beckford – Accountancy & Data Science | University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
  • • Johanna Dixon – Film Production | University of Salford Manchester
  • • Shaniah Terry – Finance | University of Miami

Also joining this year’s cohort is Ericia Burke, a 2025 IMAC scholarship recipient who began her Sport Administration (Exploratory) programme at Georgia State University in January 2026, following a deferred start to her studies.

Through IMAC’s scholarship fund, more than US$5 million has been raised since 1994, helping more than 90 Caymanian students access tertiary education and pursue their academic and professional ambitions across a wide range of disciplines.

Jessica Powell, Chair of the IMAC Educational Scholarship Fund Committee, said:

“As a former IMAC scholarship recipient, I know first-hand the difference this support can make at such an important stage in a young person’s life. It is rewarding to now have the opportunity to help extend that same support to the next generation of Caymanian students.

Each 2026 recipient has demonstrated tremendous potential, and we are proud to support them as they pursue their studies. We look forward to following their academic path and seeing the contributions they will make to our community in the years ahead.”

IMAC congratulates this year’s recipients and wishes them every success as they begin the next stage of their academic journey.
