Cayman Captive Forum

There is just one month to go until the 25th Cayman Captive Forum, taking place at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman. From 28th – 30th November, over 1400 industry professionals will come together to discuss the issues most pressing to the captive insurance industry.

IMAC are proud hosts of the Cayman Captive Forum; the event to connect, learn, and share insights and best practices.

Registration is still open, but places are likely to sell out within the next couple of weeks. If you haven’t signed up, you can do so here.

September blog- Group Captives

September’s blog is on the theme of ‘Group Captives’. The article highlights six key benefits of joining a group captive in Cayman, including cost reduction, better control over your organisation’s insurance, as well as the advantages of networking within a captive group. Could your organisation benefit from a group captive? Take a read and find out for yourself…

Launch of IMAC webinar series

We are pleased to announce the launch of a brand new webinar series for the Cayman captive industry.

Chaired by Andre Ebanks, Senior Legislative Policy Advisor for Cayman Government, the first in the series featured guest speakers:

  • Kieran O’Mahony of Marsh Management Services and IMAC
  • Julie E. Robertson of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP
  • Suzanne Sadlier of Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA)

The first webinar theme was ‘An Introduction to the captive insurance market in Cayman’, where the panel discussed the current marketplace, and special guest Ms Julie Robertson provided a perspective on Cayman as an external service provider. You can access the full webinar recording here.

We have opened up sponsorship applications for the second webinar. Please get in touch for more information.

ASHRM 2017

The American Society for Healthcare Risk Management Annual Conference has wrapped up for another year. This year, we sponsored the conference app at the event. This was a great way to showcase the Cayman captive industry in a truly digital manner, and promote Cayman to a wide selection of health care risk management professionals, encouraging sustainable growth for the Cayman market. Take a look at our Facebook page for more updates on how the event went.

The IMAC Scholarship Fund

Now in its 23rd year, we are delighted to announce the recipients of this year’s IMAC Scholarship fund. You can read more about the four 2017 recipients and their chosen subjects on the website.

We also hosted the 6th Annual Black Tie Gala and Scholarship fundraiser evening on Saturday 16th September, at the Kimpton Seafire hotel, Grand Cayman. Over 250 people donned their dinner jackets and cocktail dresses to raise funds for the fund. Photos from the event are available on our Facebook page
