Michio Kaku to Keynote 2014 Cayman Captive Forum

George Town, Grand Cayman, 4 September 2014

Dr. Michio Kaku, is one of the most widely recognized figures in science in the world today, is confirmed as the keynote speaker for the 2014 Cayman Captive Forum.

Dr. Kaku is an authority in two areas. First, his goal is to complete Albert Einstein's dream of a "theory of everything" which can unify all known physical laws. He is the co-founder of string field theory, and string theory today is the leading candidate for this fabled theory.  Second, he is a futurist who predicts how science will revolutionize business, finance, medicine, and our way of life.

His latest book, The Future of the Mind, is a #1 NY Times Best Seller and details how many concepts from science fiction, such as telepathy, telekinesis, recording memories, exoskeletons, are possible today.

He has appeared on all the TV national networks, including Good Morning America, the Today Show,

The David Letterman Show, 20/20, Nightline, HBO, the Daily Show and The Colbert Report.  He has interviewed over 300 of the world’s top futurist scientists for BBC-TV and the Discovery/Science channels.  He has written for the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Time, Discover Magazine, Astronomy Magazine, NY Times, and other national publications.  Every week, he broadcasts to 130 radio stations which air his national science show Science Fantastic.

The Cayman Captive Forum runs from 2 – 4 December 2014 and is the world’s largest captive conference.  It will also feature presentations from some of the world’s leading practitioners in the captive insurance industry, with a track specifically geared to healthcare captives, an industry space dominated by Cayman.

Cayman Captive Forum Co-Chairs Erin Brosnihan and Seamus Tivenan carefully selected Michio Kaku to be this year’s keynote speaker.  “Dr. Kaku is a dynamic speaker with an amazing story to tell.  He speaks of things that are happening today in the world of science that we have only thought about in terms of fiction and fantasy”, said Brosnihan.
